Krishna Sakha ("we", "us", "our", or "the App") is a free AI-powered spiritual companion application developed by Mayra AI Labs. The App provides Bhagavad Gita wisdom through AI chat, mantra meditation, karma tracking, Vedic calendar (Panchang), and voice interaction features.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data. This policy applies to all users of the Krishna Sakha mobile application on Android and iOS platforms.

2 Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in to Krishna Sakha, we collect:

• Google Sign-In: Your email address, display name, and profile photo URL from your Google account
• Email/Password: Your email address and encrypted password via Firebase Authentication
• Device ID: A unique device identifier (Android ID or iOS identifierForVendor) to link your account to your device

2.2 Profile Information

You may voluntarily provide the following during profile setup:

• Your name and age
• Gender (Male/Female)
• Preferred language for AI responses (supports 11 Indian languages)
• Sacred Bond type (Sakha/Shishya/Child of Krishna)
• Spiritual interests and life context (optional free-text fields)
• Profile picture (stored locally on your device)

2.3 AI Chat Data

When you use the AI Krishna Chat feature:

• Your messages are processed securely through our dedicated AI Engine to generate personalized spiritual guidance. We ensure that your chat data is transmitted using encrypted channels
• Chat history is stored locally on your device using an encrypted local database
• We do not store your individual chat messages on our servers
• Your prompts are not used to train global AI models

2.4 Location Data

If you grant location permission, we use your GPS coordinates to:

• Calculate accurate Vedic Panchang data (sunrise, sunset, Tithi, Nakshatra based on your geographic position)
• Reverse geocode your location to display a readable location name
• Location data is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or stored remotely

2.5 Voice Data

When you use voice input:

• Voice recording is processed by the device's native speech-to-text engine
• The transcribed text is sent to our API (same as typed messages)
• Raw audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted

2.6 Karma & Spiritual Activity Data

• Karma entries (title, intention, points) are stored locally on your device
• Karma score and history may be synced to Firestore if you are logged in (for backup purposes)
• Saved mantras are stored locally in SharedPreferences

• AI Personalization: Your name, language, sacred bond, and life context are used to personalize AI responses from Lord Krishna's perspective
• Rate Limiting: Device ID and message counts enforce daily free message limits
• Cloud Sync: Profile data and karma scores are synced to Firestore for backup and cross-device continuity
• Panchang Accuracy: Location data ensures accurate Hindu calendar calculations for your region
• App Improvement: Anonymous crash reports and usage metrics help us fix bugs and improve stability
• Authentication: Email and device ID verify your identity and protect your account
• Notifications: Festival and holiday notifications are scheduled locally based on your notification preferences
• Support: Feedback submissions (with optional screenshots) help us resolve issues

4 Data Storage & Security

4.1 Local Storage

The majority of your personal data is stored locally on your device using:

• SharedPreferences: Profile settings, chat sessions, karma data, saved mantras, app preferences
• Local JSON files: Bhagavad Gita verse data, festival calendar, holiday data (bundled with the app)

4.2 Cloud Storage

Data stored on our servers (Google Firebase / Firestore):

• User account information (email, display name, device ID)
• Usage tracking (message counts, ad views)
• Profile sync data (name, age, gender, language, sacred bond, interests, life context, karma score)
• App feedback submissions

4.3 Security Measures

• All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Firebase Authentication with secure token-based access
• Firestore security rules restrict data access to the authenticated user only
• All intelligent chat requests include strict identity verification to protect your sessions
• Local chat data stored in app-private storage (not accessible to other apps)

6 Device Permissions

Krishna Sakha requests the following device permissions. All permissions are optional and the app functions with limited features if denied:

7 Data Retention & Deletion

7.1 Local Data

All locally stored data (chat history, karma entries, saved mantras, preferences) remains on your device until you:

• Use the "Clear All Chats" feature in the app
• Use the "Delete My Account" feature in Settings
• Clear the app data from your device settings
• Uninstall the application

7.2 Cloud Data

Data stored in our Firestore database is retained as long as your account is active. When you use "Delete My Account":

• Your Firestore user document is permanently deleted
• Your Firebase Authentication account is deleted
• All local SharedPreferences are cleared
• Google Sign-In session is revoked

7.3 Request Data Deletion

If you are unable to access the app, you can request data deletion by emailing us at hello@mayrailabs.in with your registered email address. We will process your request within 30 days.

8 Children's Privacy

Krishna Sakha does not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13. The App is designed for general audiences interested in spiritual growth and Bhagavad Gita wisdom.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us at hello@mayrailabs.in. We will promptly delete such information from our records.

For users between 13-18 years of age, we recommend parental guidance when using the AI chat feature.

9 Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (via in-app "Delete My Account" or by email)

10 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

As a mobile application, Krishna Sakha does not use browser cookies. However, the following tracking technologies may be used:

• Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous app usage data (screen views, feature usage) to improve the app experience
• AdMob SDK: May use device identifiers for ad targeting and measurement
• Local Storage: SharedPreferences for app functionality (not tracking)

You can reset your advertising ID through your device settings to limit ad tracking.

11 International Data Transfers

Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States (where our secure cloud and database servers are located). These countries may have different data protection laws than your country.

We ensure that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your data during international transfers, including the use of standard contractual clauses and encryption.
